I saw an advertisement from one of the top raiding guilds in my server, an iron-bound proto drake run. I inquired of course and the price is 20k gold. They’re only selling 5 slots and the rest will already be core raiders. For a total of 100k divided by 20 players, 5000 gold profit is a lot.

For those not familiar, this proto drake can only be obtained by completing the achievement Glory of the Ulduar Raider (25 Player). I’ve only seen a few people ride an iron-bound proto drake and it looks like its powerful enough to eat the other drakes alive. It looks really cool

If you’re guild is already in progression in ICC, your gear can spit on Ulduar’s face. Running Ulduar again will be a total waste of time. You can, however, take advantage of your guild’s skills and make gold by also selling raid slots provided that you’ve already gotten your Iron-Bound proto drake. Otherwise, if you haven’t yet gotten yours, don’t even dare trying to sell a run.

Guild reputation plays a lot on your run’s credibility. The guild who posted the iron-bound proto drake advertisement on trade channel was in fact 2nd in raid progression (Horde). I wouldn’t mind buying a slot since the guild’s reputation is on the line so the chance that it will be a scam is really thin.

I didn’t buy a slot though because I couldn’t make the raid time. Just in case you’re wondering if there are people willing to purchase runs such as these, I guarantee you there are. With mechano-hog peaking at 18k and people still buying it, an additional 2k to that price to get an awesome flying proto drake is already a good bargain. If your guild is pro, think about selling iround-bound proto drake runs.

Agreed, 20k done when do we go?

On Bloodscalp there’s one guild doing this Horde side, and they’re selling spots for 50K. Not sure if they’re actually getting it, but I do know I’ve seen them offering 10m versions for 25K per person.

Khaas – that’s too expensive IMO. I don’t think anyone will be willing to pay 50k for the iron-bound. for the 10m version I’d understand if it’s 25k per person since they couldn’t free up more raid slots for customers; they need most slots for themselves to actually accomplish the achievement.
