Quel’Delar Chain Kicks Ass
It was hopeless to wait for a Battered Hilt to drop for me. Hence, I made my mind up and finally bought it from the AH. It cost me 14k, and it scared me if I was going to regret it.
There’s a lot of quests to be done before you get your Quel’Delar weapon but as I continued to do the chain quests, the more I became excited in getting the weapon. If you’re one of those players who enjoy knowing about the lore behind WoW, you’ll enjoy this as well.
One of my favorite quests as a part of the Quel’Delar chain is when you’re required to steal a tabard from one of the Silver Covenant (because I’m Horde). You go to a gnome who does the laundry with a water elemental and you need to help him with his chore. You have to click dirty laundry depending on what the gnome shouts and once done, he lets you borrow the tabard. On a side note, someone should invent water elementals to wash laundry.
At one part, you have to go inside HOR to kill an image of Quel’Delar. Uther Lightbringer warns me not to get closer. But since I’m a jackass I continued walking until Frostmourne reacts to what you bring forward. Yada yada, bla bla bla, I really can’t explain why, but suddenly you’re faced with an elite sword you have to kill. Using my freshly lvl 80 mage alt, I died. Nobody warned me it was going to be an elite!
Finally my favorite part was going inside the Sunwell. Since I didn’t really get to explore Sunwell during BC (since I “quit” back then), looking at the Sunwell really amazed me that I had a little photo shoot inside. Some level ?? boss Blood Elf thanks me for restoring Quel’Delar to its “rightful” owners and tries to loot my sword. However, the Sunwell throws him to the opposite side of the room. Serves him right because that sword cost me 14k! Once the sword is cleansed in the Sunwell, you get to port back to Dalaran and claim your reward.
For the fun quests, it’s definitely worth it!
