Another tactis is when listing an item that has a few low price sellers lets say your gem above is to drop one in at say 175g so that when your lower price competitors auctiosn end they will under cut you, say to 165g you can then drop in your remaining gems one or two at a time at your desired price. 140g say, and with luck they will sell fast enough that your compitition when checking the ah will see they're item as the lower priced and not relist. This works especially well with gems and flasks I find.
