Inscription Power Leveling
Those selling low level herbs can be such a pain in the ass for inscription power levelers. As with every low level commodity needed for leveling professions, most likely they are supremely overpriced. I’ve seen low level herbs in my server go even for more than the price of Icethorn, which usually 20-25g. Curse you, low level area farmers!
On power leveling my inscription a long way back, I googled for inscription leveling guide. I followed it for a bit but luckily realized early on that it shouldn’t be that expensive. I was already spending some hundreds to even get to 125 skill. So I stopped power leveling for a while, hoping the prices of low level herbs will eventually go down.
Luckily some patch came out (I don’t remember which), and allowed Ink of the Sea to be traded for any other ink. I didn’t follow anymore the inscription leveling guide after that patch. Ink of the sea was selling at that time for as low as 2g per Ink, almost at the same price as some low level herb per piece! There were days that there were no cheap Ink of the Sea, which was just fine. Trying to reach 450 skill on a profession as fast as you can means you will be spending more than what is necessary.
I only bought reasonably priced Ink of the Sea as long as buying them would be cheaper than buying the ridiculously overpriced herbs. Not following any guide anymore, as much as possible I made glyphs that I’m sure I would be able to sell. I check the price in the auction house to see how much a glyph was going for before I craft it for a skill up.
There are certain times that selling several glyphs would give me back the money I’ve bought Ink of the Sea, making Inscription Power Leveling as cheap as possible. Just hope scribes in your server wouldn’t read about this and overprice Ink of the Sea as well. If that happens, I am truly sorry. Lol.
