Frostweave Cloth Farming
There are several uses for frostweave cloth and buying them all can be a pain for your pockets: Leveling Tailoring can be a gruesome task considering frostweave cloth can be scarce’; frostweave bandages can sometimes be a savior in arenas; Frostweave bags is a must have if you don’t want to get stuck with the netherweave bag era.
As you finally hit level 80, your stock of frostweave cloth may still not be enough and buying frostweave stacks at 20g each is probably out of your budget. Is it time to farm frostweave cloth?
Before going out into the world finding the best place to farm frostweave cloth, I suggest trying out first doing dailies. The great number of daily quests in Ice Crown requires you to kill several humanoids and undead who drops frostweave cloth. If you are a tailor, you will have a passive skill of Northern Cloth Scavenging which increases your chance to find cloth on humanoids. By doing dailies instead of going straight to killing mobs, not only do you find frostweave cloth, but at the same time you are able to do the dailies for extra gold.
If you are in a hurry to finally get your frostweave cloth fix, and you don’t want to buy any from the Auction House, then it is time from some farming.
There is really no one best farming spot for frostweave cloth. Just keep in mind a few things: 1) Higher level mobs drop more cloths, 2)the more mobs packed together, the better and 3)the less people around you, the better. That being said, here are some areas to get you started:
Lots of undead here and zero players hanging out.
Lots of mobs here but are spots for daily quests as well so expect some company.
My favorite would be the third red circle from the left. Mobs respawn really quickly and die easily as well. However, it is a spot for daily quests so expect some company from time to time.
What’s good with farming these mobs is you also get trash loot and a few greens for extra gold. Sell all the trash loot and disenchant the greens and sell the dusts instead. Happy frostweave farming!
