Disenchanting Leatherworking Arctic Boots
Leatherworkers, do not be envious of the enchanting-jewelcrafting combos for their infinite dust. You can also have the ability to craft greens and disenchant them for profit. Enchanting-leatherworking combo can also work provided that you know how much you buy your mats and how much to sell the dusts, essences, and shards.
Based on WoWhead’s superb database, Arctic Boots can be disenchanted with a 75% change of getting 1-3 infinite dust, 22% chance of getting 1-2 lesser cosmic essence, and 3% of getting small dream shard.
I input the above data on an excel file to speed up the process of calculating how much you can earn from buying the mats, crafting the arctic boots and disenchanting it yourself.

Tip: If you’re current AH prices do not give enough profit for you, find cheaper deals for borean leather/borean leather scraps or wait until prices of enchanting reagents go up.
The value of the enchanting reagents can mean either 1)How much is it currently going for and is it profitable to sell it now? or 2)How much do I want to sell the reagents so I can make decent profit? For #2, you have to wait until prices go up.
Edit: I have added an additional 1.5 in the quantity column to compensate for those times that it will make around 2-3 infinite dust or 2 lesser cosmic essence.

I heard about that too. I don’t think a lot of people know about it though.
Infinite dust price dropped to ground on my realm :s 60-75g stack vs the 80-90g before, so i guess its pretty much known.
On a side note, would be interested a post about the prices on your realm, just to make an idea, and then compare then with the visitors.
@kite – infinite dust on my server never has always been around 3g each even before the buff in disenchanting. The highest I’ve ever seen it is 4 gold each and the lowest was around 2.50gold. Now it’s sitting at 3.5 gold. A lot of dust goblins in my server. The ones posting 200 dusts 1 per stack lol.
