Curse Client Review
It’s only when LUA errors appear when some realize that their addons are out of date. Getting killed on a new boss encounter because debuff warnings didn’t appear is a good sign as well. Searching for all of your addons and looking if they’ve updated is quite inefficient because most likely you’ll fail to update some addons giving you a LUA error inside a rated arena match. Fail.
Our favorite source of addons, Curse.com, thankfully has provided the “Curse Client” to help us manage our chaotic collection of addons. Once registered in their website, download the Curse Client. You will be using your login details in Curse.com for the Curse Client.
The Curse Client works very, very similarly to iTunes, which has invaded most computers already. Think of Curse Client as the iTunes of addons. The layout is very similar to iTunes which only means it is very user friendly. If you’re familiar with downloading apps and subscribing to podcasts using iTunes, Curse Client works the same way.
You will be able to view all your current installed addons and see if updates are available. Click “update” and it will automatically update your addons. Yes, no more clicking My Computer, Drive C, Program Files, World of Warcraft, Interface, Addons and copy paste. Curse Client does this in a flash.
With the Premium Service (which requires a fee), updating addons will work very similar to subscribing to podcasts. Once a new update is available, Curse Client will download it automatically. However, for the non-paying users, we do it manually.
You can also browse for addons you don’t have. Like browsing for songs, movies, and apps in the iTunes store, you can search for addons per category if you wish, making it a lot easier to find the addon you’ve always wanted.
The best part is it’s entirely free. The only downside is you get to see ads in your Curse Client. But of course there are advantages for getting Premium Curse Client. Nevertheless, Curse Client is the best addon management out there. Never again will outdated addons let you die.

I second that! Been using Curse for a long time. I just fire up the client after every patch, takes a few mins to keep everything up to date, then I can forget about it.
yes it is that awesome
