PostHeaderIcon Crafting Glyphs Using Kevmar’s KTQ

Below is a video showing an alternative way for crafting glyphs besides using Quick Auctions . I believe it is a much faster way just because as in Quick Auctions, you won’t have to click the name of the glyphs to determine how many you want to craft for the day. Repeating that task everyday becomes a chore which eventually pushes you hate the profession. You wouldn’t want to hate a cash cow profession!

With KTQ, you will be able to set the maximum number of glyphs you’d want to create – say, 5. So every time you want to refill your glyphs, KTQ will check how many you have left (altoholic is useful here to check your bank toon) and will put into queue how many it will craft. Also, one of the most fun things in this addon is the ability to purchase all the reagents for your glyphs with 1 click. That alone is a huge time saver. However, just like Quick Auctions, you have to click every time you want a certain glyph crafted; there is NO ADDON that allows you to craft everything in the queue with one click.

With posting the huge amount of glyphs, I still prefer using Quick Auctions.

PostHeaderIcon Powerleveling Inscription in Patch 3.3.3

As said in the patch 3.3.3 notes, most glyphs that require 2 inks to make are going to be reduced to 1 ink. If you’ve never have any scribe in any of your alts, for your information, this is (imo) the easiest profession to powerlevel. If you’re only looking for a cheap profession to give your armor some bonus, this is it. With patch 3.3.3, it will even become cheaper.

The way Inscription is leveled is very far from the usual 1-450 profession guides you’ve seen in the internet. Those guides require you to buy old school herbs, mill them, make inks and then craft yellow/orange glyphs. The alternative way of leveling it would be either buying herbs, asking someone to mill it for you and make inks, or buy Ink of the Sea directly from the AH. These inks of the sea are then going to be traded to Jessica Sellers for old world inks, which then you will use to make your glyphs.

This method is a lot cheaper than buying ridiculously overpriced old world herbs, milling them, and then making glyphs. Plus, with patch 3.3.3, most glyphs that require 2 inks to make will be nerfed to 1 ink, which further decreases the cost of powerleveling inscription. Essentialy, you’ll only need to have 450++ Inks of the Sea to max out Inscription. In my server, with 3g for each Inks of the Sea, that’s only about 1350++ gold plus the parchments of course.

PostHeaderIcon Relisting Glyphs

Ever since 2010, the glyph market has taken a huge plunge, at least on my server. From most glyphs’ pricing usually at 25g+, the price took a dive and most glyphs are selling no more than 4g each. Happy new year!

It’s either the new people playing the glyph market don’t know how to take advantage of in-demand glyphs, or they’re playing deep-undercutting, trying to force other competitors to leave the market. But it could also be a lot are currently leveling inscription and they’re just posting glyphs in the AH at random prices to get rid of them.

In any case, I don’t really like the idea of glyphs being too cheap. I decided to re-list glyphs that are going too cheap with the help of Quick Auctions (Read more on Quick Auctions).

Above is an example of death knight glyphs that are going too cheap. Those in the red bracket (my illustration) are glyphs going for 4 gold each. Then the quantity is quite low as well, so it’s easy to buy it out and re-list it at a high price. For instance, Glyph of Horn of Winter has only 1 posted and it’s going for 4g. I can easily buy that out and post it at 35 gold. Glyph of Chains of Ice is currently going for 4 gold as well but there are 7 listed. If I buy that out, it’ll cost me an instant 28 gold. But then again if I sell even at least one at 35 gold, that’s an easy 7 gold profit.

Your only problem with this method is if you have a deep undercutter in your server who won’t stop listing glyphs for 4-5 gold each. If you have one on your server, then you’re out of luck.

PostHeaderIcon Patch 3.3: New Glyphs!

glyph eternal water

Patch 3.3 provided three new glyphs for scribes. All are purchasable from by Larana Drome in The Scribes’ Sacellum in Dalaran. Although they are on a limited supply (5 max), I noticed they restock in a reasonable amount of time. I saw it ran out then 15 minutes later they’re back in stock. Maybe there’s a timer. I don’t know. Nevertheless, here are the new recipes:

Technique: Glyph of Eternal Water

Technique: Glyph of Quick Decay

Technique: Glyph of Rapid Rejuvenation

Better take advantage of these new glyphs while the prices are still high. Also, try to resell the recipes in the AH just in case someone is too lazy to buy it from Larana Drome. However, I haven’t had any success yet reselling these.

PostHeaderIcon Inscription Power Leveling

Those selling low level herbs can be such a pain in the ass for inscription power levelers. As with every low level commodity needed for leveling professions, most likely they are supremely overpriced. I’ve seen low level herbs in my server go even for more than the price of Icethorn, which usually 20-25g. Curse you, low level area farmers!
