PostHeaderIcon Trade Channel from Anywhere

This one I thank wowconfidential for the information for. I wouldn’t have known about this if not for that site. It’s one of those addons that I wished existed a long time ago – an addon that allows you to see trade channel from anywhere in the World of Warcraft!

No more asking guildmates and waiting for friends to enter a city and asking them to spot good deals in the trade channel for you. If you’re like me who’s addicted to earning gold, you feel like awesome deals are passing you by if you’re not in a city. Watching the trade channel is one addiction goblins have and it’s not a healthy one. Now, with TradeForwarder, you will get your WoW social life back.

It kinda works like the Wintergrasp timer addon before; the addon depends on other users who have the addon enabled and are receiving information (in this case, information from the trade channel). This information is then sent to other users using the same addon. Hence, the name TradeForwarder. It depends on how much people are using the addon, and how many of them are currently in a city. If no one with TradeForwarder is in the city, you get no trade chat information.

One thing you cannot do with TradeForwarder is to chat in the trade channel. No problem with that, really. Seeing the trade channel from anywhere is already a big help. Finally, you can watch out for those good deals while you bust out a boss’ ass. (See more on Trade Channel Spying)

PostHeaderIcon LilSparky’s Workshop

If you’ve wondered how much is it to craft something and see if it’s worth to sell it in the AH, then LilSParky’s Workshop is the addon for you.

It’s a bit inefficient to take a look at what mats are needed to craft your stuff, look up the price of raw materials in the AH, and then search again how much the crafted stuff is going for.  LilSparky’s Workshop does this all for you.

In this picture on the left, Chaotic Skyflare Diamond has a value of 29gold in the AH (left column) and buying the raw material (skyflare diamond) only costs 19 gold. It’s a 10 gold profit you could have missed without the help of LilSparky. If you’ve noticed, the brightly colored values on the left column means you can profit from it since its cost is lower. Those with grayed values means you’ll lose gold since the cost of crafting it is much higher than the selling price.

The only catch in LilSparky’s Workshop is it only calculates the cost of the item by adding up the prices of the raw materials needed. For instance, if you want to create a Delicate Cardinal Ruby, it calculates how much a Cardinal Ruby is going for based on your scanned data. So you can’t really know much profit you would get if you prospect titanium ore instead. Let the spreadsheets handle that.

LilSparky’s Workshop gets its information from Auction Scanners such as the ones below:

  • Auctioneer
  • AuctionLite
  • AuctionMaster
  • Auctionator

For those using Auctionator, there is a “Full Scan” button under the buy, sell, or more tab. Scan regularly so your LilSparky’s Workshop is as accurate as possible. Remember, it calculates based on how much the materials are listed at the moment.

Clicking the columns can change its information from auction value, vendor value, to disenchant value. Thus, it is possible to see if creating greens are still worth to craft and disenchant.

LilSparky’s Workshop is one addon not so popular among players. When properly used, however, this addon is a time saver. Think of it as your handy-dandy auction house prices data you can check wherever you go. Also, it’s a quick way to make quick bucks.

For more information on the addon, check out LilSparky’s Workshop.

PostHeaderIcon Postal: The Way Mail Should be Opened

Open mail. Click unsold item. Open mail. Click sold item. Open mail. Click non-AH mail with attachments. 150 more items not shown. /Kick mailbox. Time is money, friend. And certainly opening mail the old fashioned way is eating up my time. Patience is a virtue, friend. With mail, I really don’t think so.

PostHeaderIcon Going Price of Items

Ever wondered what the going price of items are? Have you ever been asked how much an item goes for? A boe epic dropped and there’s no similar item on the Auction House. How do you know how much to list it for? Have you ever sold something and when you’ve successfully sold it, you realized it’s worth at least 2x more?

No more alt-tabbing and looking on WoWhead for the price. Going Price is an addon that tells you roughly how much an item goes for. No more guessing how much your boe epic is and selling it for so much less than what it’s worth.

Clicking on an item will show an additional tooltip with the WoWhead price.

Be sure to always check for updates because this addon updates quite regularly.

Do note that this is the average of all the servers combined. Your server might most likely will be a little different but at least you have an idea of an item’s value.

PostHeaderIcon Crafting and Selling Glyphs Fast Using Quick Auctions

Selling glyphs is the cash cow of scribes. Glyphs are really cheap to produce and can sell for so much. Despite the belief that dual spec destroys the glyph market, you’d be amazed how much people are buying glyphs every now and then. The biggest problem is the amount of time it takes to 1)Find which glyphs are worth crafting and selling 2) Crafting the glyphs 3)Posting the enormous amount of glyphs.  My tried and tested method will help you cut down this time in half.

PostHeaderIcon Auctionator

Around 3 days ago my World of Warcraft starts to crash whenever I use Auctioneer to scan. Pissed, I went to download Auctionator, a supposedly light substitute for Auctioneer. Here’s a review of what I think of the addon that reminds me of the Governator.
