Lil’ Smoky and Pet Bombling
Finally, engineers have something else to sell other than Iceblade Arrows and Shattered Rounds. There are too many arrows already, and selling them is hard. Lil’ Smoky and Pet Bombling used to be BOP pets only usable by engineers. Patch 3.3.3 removed the BOP and therefore made it possible to be sold in the auction house.
Lil’ Smoky sells for an average of 200 gold, according to wowhead. Materials needed are the ff:
1x Core of Earth (1g)
2x Gyrochronatom (2g)
1x Fused Wiring (5g)
2x Mithril Bar (4g)
1x Truesilver Bar (3g)
Total Cost: 15g
Profit: 185g (According to Wowhead prices)
Pet Bombling sells for an average of ~150 gold according to Wowhead. The materials needed are the ff:
1x Big Iron Bomb
- 3x Iron Bar (3g)
- 3x Heavy Blasting Powder (15s)
- 1x Silver Contact (1s)
1x Heart of Fire (1g)
1x Fused Wiring (5g)
6x Mithril Bar (12g)
Total Cost: 21.16gold
Profit: 129 gold

Mechano-Hog Spreadsheet

Here’s a sheet for engineers to determine how much it’ll cost to invest on a Mechano-hog and then selling it in the AH for huge profit. However, this spreadsheet doesn’t take into account the deposit fee. For non-engineers, this is also good if you’re planning to make your mechano-hog from scratch.
I’ve included alternative ways of getting materials such as titanium bar and arctic fur. If you’re not going to use the alternative, then just replace the value of those you will ignore to “0″. Again, only replace values inside the yellow highlight.
WTB Mechano Hog, Already Made!
I didn’t really realize until recently that some people really want a piece of this junk piled together to form an awesome scrap metal Harley Davidson. How did I realize? Because I suddenly want one! You know when a mechano-hog is nearby when you hear its rusty pipes spewing smoke and the sound of metal sheets hitting one another. It just spells bad-ass! I mean, PWN!

While Armor Plated Combat Shotgun and Nesingwary 4000 has been in the arsenal of Engineers for gold making, people don’t bother buying these ilvl 200 epics because they can be easily replaced even by having a kick ass run in Naxx / Ulduar. This leaves engineers penniless (but with a parachute).
