Frozen Orb Trader
Nope I’m not talking about Frozo the Renowned. I’m talking about YOU becoming the frozen orb trader!
This is very server dependent, but I got emails telling me it still works on their server. See if you can also profit from this!
When Frozo the Renowned came out in Patch 3.3.3, the prices of frozen orb increased to match the price of the materials Frozo is trading the orbs for. Well, that was quite a long time ago. Sometimes, prices of frozen orbs fall down.
The trick in finding cheap frozen orbs is keep on checking the AH. Frozen orbs cannot sustain an expensive price because no one will buy all of them at that price. The stock increases and people start to undercut the frozen orbs and eventually costing a lot less than the materials Frozo has (e.g. lotus, eternals, crusader orbs). Also, advertise in trade that you are buying Frozen Orb in bulk. You will be amazed on how much people are willing to just to get rid of their Frozen Orb at a low price because they can’t sell it on the AH at an expensive price.
Remote Auction House

The Remote Auction House allows you to play the auction house as if you’re in-game. All you need is an access to the World of Warcraft Armory (pray the site isn’t blocked at work lol), or your Ipod/Iphone/Ipad. Currently, it is in Beta Phase, which means you will be able to test out ALL features. I suggest go ahead and test it out.
Creating Auctions
The best part about the remote auction house is the ability to post items that are in your bags, bank or mailbox. It does feel like the remote auction house is better than the one in-game; no more walking to your mailbox or your bank to obtain items before posting them.
Bidding/Buying out Auctions
Looking for that ultra rare epic BOE? With the Remote Auction House, you will be able to check for it every hour… EVEN AT WORK! It will be easier to spot cheap auctions and check out price trends.
Collecting Successful Auctions
You will also be able to harvest all gold form successful auctions without even pressing W,A,S,D and your spacebar several times before getting to the mailbox. All you have to do is click the CLAIM ALL GOLD button.
Can everyone participate in the beta?
All US realms are able to participate in the beta. I’m not sure with EU.
During the beta test, you are only able to do 25 transactions per day. Once live, the limit will be increased to 200. The bad news is, once the beta test is over, the premium features (creating auctions, bidding/buying out) will require you to pay $3/month for the Remote Auction House service. That additional $3/month made me cringe. Sigh, another project of Blizzard to ultimately control the World Economy.
New Auction House Interface

4/05/10
Patch 3.3.3 introduced a new Auction House interface and it’s making a temporary insanity with low-level items. I say, take advantage of this as of the moment.

Usually Copper ore goes for 2- 5 gold a stack in my server. The new auction house interface, however, probably confused a lot of (mostly) new players. Since patch 3.3.3 there is an option to choose whether to price the items per item or per stack, players must have missed looking at that. Price of copper ore per stack now costs 60 gold each. I suppose the copper ore was supposed to be priced per stack but instead the “per item” option was selected. Hence, instead of a 3 gold stack, copper ore costs 3 gold each. I did take advantage of this situation, farmed some copper ore, and got them sold right away. Sooner or later, players using this interface will get used to it and price items right. Better take advantage of this now if this situation applies in your server.
Even though the new auction house interface provides new options, I still do prefer to use Auctionator because of its ease. Trying the new auction house interface got me confused as well, pricing items per piece instead of per stack. It’s all about personal preference in the end.
WTS Profession Leveling Packs!
I saw this on the trade channel the other day and it’s ingenuity surprised me. He is selling all the materials needed to level engineer from 1-350.If only I had a toon that can use another profession, I’d probably bought this engineer pack!
I guess he read an engineer leveling guide from the internet and used the estimated materials needed. There are three ways he could have obtained all the materials: One is to farm it all by himself, two is to wait until the materials are cheap in the AH before buying them out, three is to use little bit of both. I can only guess why he’s only selling up to 350 skill. Maybe northrend materials are readily available anyway? IDK.
If you’re planning to do something similar to this, I suggest listing all the materials you need in an excel file along with its price so you can price your profession package accordingly and profit from it. Tell anyone who’s interested in buying your package that he will receive all the materials listed in (insert profession leveling website). Also, ask him to prepare A LOT of bank space.
Patch 3.3.3 Gold Guide
Patch 3.3.3 is coming soon and there are a lot of changes going to be made with items/professions. From the looks of the changes, it seems Blizzard isn’t happy with only a handful of people making a lot of money from the AH.
Note: Patch 3.3.3. Patch Notes
Inscription
Most recipes that required 2 inks now only require 1.
The glyph market is usually run by 5-6 people continuously undercutting one another every 30 minutes. Since glyphs are in demand and costs really low to produce, scribes make a lot of money of off this. When patch 3.3.3 comes, however, expect a lot of people to powerlevel inscription, and a huge increase of glyph players in the market.
Mining
Titansteel Bar: Creating this item no longer results in a cooldown.
Those miners who make their money from making titansteel bars will get pissed with this update. Price of Titansteel Bars will definitely take a plunge. From a 20 hour cooldown ability to zero, titansteel bar price will go down as well. On the somehow brighter side, crafting mechano-hogs will cost less and engineers could take advantage of this and sell more frequently.
Tailoring
Glacial Bag: Creating this item now invokes a 7-day cooldown.
The cooldown and location requirements have been removed from creating Moonshroud, Spellweave and Ebonweave.
Moonshroud, Spellweave and Ebonweave prices will drop like flies. DO NOT BUY any of these before patch 3.3.3. Or if you’re a tailor, try and sell as much of these as you can before the patch hits. The AH will be flooded with these cloths few days after patch 3.3.3 hits, and will definitely become a cheap piece of crap. On the somehow brighter side, crafting epics will become more affordable.
Frozo the Renowned has moved into the Dalaran Magus Commerce Exchange and will be trading your Frozen Orb for various other trade goods.
Other trade goods means:
- Crusader Orb (6 orbs)
- Runed Orb (4 orbs)
- Eternal Fire
- Eternal Earth
- Eternal Water
- Eternal Air
- Eternal Life
- Eternal Shadow
- Frost Lotus
- Pattern: Frosty Flying Carpet [Tailors Only] (6 orbs)
I’m sure you’ve noticed advertisements in the trade channel wanting to purchase frozen orbs in unlimited numbers. I guess Blizzard became unhappy when frozen orbs dropped to as low as 6 gold when its vendor price is already 5 gold. Finally, frozen orbs will be useful once again. Buyout frozen orbs as cheap as you can now. When patch 3.3.3 hits, its price will greatly increase because hell, you can purchase Frost Lotus with it! Now, when frozen orbs drop in heroics, I think people will want to roll need on it to prevent ninjas.
Fastest Way to Make a Horde Bank Alt

The arrow means you go and jump to the waters then DIE
I have two bank alts, one is a tauren and one an orc. Running to Thunderbluff and Orgrimmar does take a lot of time. With a bit of bad luck, you die along the way as well. Luckily, I found the quickest way to make a bank alt for Horde, but you have to be either an orc or a troll.
It wasn’t actually me who figured this out. In creating another alt, I saw this orc running to the mountain. He jumped down to the water, I followed, and we both died to the crabs. We became ghosts but we were now in Ratchet. He talked to the spirit healer and got resurrected and I followed his lead. He went to the bank where the goblins are at, got invited to a guild, and there he was organizing his guild, I guess.
Then I saw the flight master with the green exclamation point on top of his head. I clicked him and immediately there was a flight path going to Orgrimmar even though I haven’t talked to the flight master in Orgrimmar (obviously). The flight costs 1 silver and 20 copper but I didn’t have enough money at that time. I logged out, got a bit of money from my other character, and sent it to my alt. There I was, flying to Orgrimmar with my new bank alt toon who can also use the AH
Sorry Alliance, all I know is humans are the best to use as bank alt because they’re closest to Storm Wind. I don’t think there’s a cool short cut like the one I described above. Let me know so I’ll post it too.
